Skye Daly - Making a Difference at SMS
When Skye Daly, a fifth grader at Swampscott Middle School, found out
that not enough students had signed up for the Spring Garden Club, she
took control. Skye gathered 8 friends to join. This morning she went
over and above and taught 3 preschool classes how to plant lettuce,
parsley and basil. With many small hands, the entire raised garden was
planted in front of the preschool play area. Superintendent Pamela
Angelakis congratulated Syke when she visited the garden. "It only
takes one person to change the world, and Skye could be the one."
